Distressed Businesses

Your business is distressed if either of the following conditions are true:-

1. You will shortly be unable to pay your staff wages and/or your suppliers.

2. Financial Creditors and/or your bank are demanding repayment of loan facilities and you are unable to make the repayment.

There is no overt market place where the owners of distressed businesses can confidentially engage with serious qualified investors and advisors who want to work with and revive distressed businesses.  Sunbelt Business Advisors offer the owners of fundamentally viable businesses in financial difficulty an opportunity to quickly and confidentially execute an equity or debt based restructuring on a No Solution No Fee basis.

We will only consider working with distressed businesses which meet the following three conditions:-

1. Your annual sales were at least €500,000 net of VAT for the last 12 months or you are currently invoicing at least €40,000 per month net of VAT.
2. You are currently employing at least 3 full time staff not including yourself or members of your family.
3. You have enough cashflow and/or the ability to keep trading for at least 2 months from today.

How Does it Work?

We have developed a highly focused methodology to quickly analyse, summarise and confidentially present distressed business opportunities to individuals and companies who have expressed an interest in acquiring or investing in distressed businesses.

The key steps in the process are:-

1. Contact us for an initial discussion to assess whether there is a basis for commencing a distressed business rescue project.
2. Sign an Engagement Agreement with Sunbelt Business Advisors on a No Solution No Fee basis.
3. We analyse the business, prepare a confidential business summary and circulate it to potential buyers.
4. We collate expressions of interest from potential buyers and pass them to you.
5. You decide which potential buyers you want to progress with.

Our role is limited to quickly analysing and presenting your business to potential buyers/investors and facilitating introductions to those who express an interest in acquiring or investing in your business. Once the introduction is made your existing Accountant and Solicitor will assist you to negotiate the terms of any commercial transaction you decide to enter into. Our fee will only become payable if you enter into a commercial transaction with a party we have introduced.
